About
ABOUT
Alejandra Hernandez is a Colombian story artist and illustrator. Her childhood fascination with reading and drawing in the back of her mother’s planners developed into a passion for storytelling and cinema. Her natural curiosity has led her to explore screenwriting, traditional animation, production design, live-action filmmaking, editorial illustration, and 3d generalist work as paths to communicate a narrative. Her most compelling work is the product of the collaborative process she got to experience at Academy of Art University. Whether it was with other students or her teachers, collaborating allowed to be flexible and taught her how to use her work to elevate the story and characters.
Alejandra’s storytelling often explores the complexity of human relationships, female stories, and the examination of underexplored genres in animation. Her storyboarding work is characterized by her ability to visually translate stories quickly and clearly while engaging the audience.
